25 September 2025 – recruitment to cohort 2 completed
The study team are delighted that the 12 patients required to complete cohort 2 have now been recruited to the trial. This brings the total number of participants recruited to Stage 1 of the study to 24. Recruitment to the study is currently paused pending the DMC’s dose escalation decision.
22 July 2025 – recruitment to cohort 2 commenced
Recruitment to cohort 2 of Stage 1 commenced on the 22nd July following the DMC’s recommendation to progress to the next dose cohort, as planned.
The first patient was recruited within 24 hours of recruitment commencing!
12 June 2025 – recruitment to cohort 1 completed
The study team were delighted that the 12 patients required to complete cohort 1 had been recruited to the trial. Following completion of the cohort, recruitment to the study was paused pending the DMC’s dose escalation decision.
30 May 2025 – Kirkcaldy recruits their first participant
The Kirkcaldy team recruited their first participant to cohort 1 on the 30th May 2025!
27 May 2025 – second study site opens
Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy officially opened as a study site on 27 May 2025. It joins Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in recruiting patients to the first cohort of Stage 1.
12 Feb 2025 – 1st participant recruited
The first participant was recruited to the trial at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh site on the 12 Feb 2025!
January 2025 – RUFUS Study Opens to Recruitment
The study was opened on the 23rd January 2025 and recruitment to the first cohort in Stage 1 commenced at the first study site (Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh). The study team were delighted that the study was up and running!
