Info on GM RAs You must have a GM risk assessment in place before you bring GM animals, viruses, bacteria or cells into the building and start working with them. As a Centre we have two general RAs for working with genetically modified micro-organisms (GMMOs) these are for Propagating Class 1 bacterial strains (CVS.031.Gen). Harvesting cells from non-harmful GM mice (CVS.102.CVS). YOU MUST ENSURE THAT YOUR BACTERIAL STRAINS AND MICE ARE COVERED BY THESE GMMOs BEFORE YOU START WORKING WITH THEM.
