Training in the safe use of ultracentrifuge Image In the CVS, we have a Sorvall WX 80+ Ultracentrifuge. This has a maximum speed of 100,000rpm (802006 x g). There are two rotors TH-641 (swinging bucket rotor - capacity 6x13.2ml, Max RCF 287,660xg or Max Speed 41,000rpm) Thermo Scientific Surespin 630 (swinging bucket rotor - capacity 6x17ml, Max RCF 166,880xg or Max Speed 30,000rpm). Process to for access to Ultracentrifuge - Read relevant CVS RA (CVS07.05) and update personal RA signature sheet. - Send updated RA signature sheet to CVS Lab Management (cvs.lab.management@ed.ac.uk) and ask to arrange an induction. - Ask trainer to sign your personal Training Record.
